Due to family commitments I was in the Somerset area on Sunday. This provided an opportunity to visit RNAS Yeovilton, and watch the RNHF aeroplanes depart to, and subsequently arrive back from, Old Warden. The sun was shining, and the sky was blue. Perfect weather!

I have included some images from the day's play below, beginning with the two RNHF aeroplanes lined up in the heat haze!

1330hrs - Sea Hawk airborne, with Lt. Chris Gotke at the controls...

I then had to leave the base, but returned just in time to watch the Sea Fury depart.

1525hrs. Lt. Gotke and WV908 return to base... she looks immaculate!!!

1540hrs, VR930 returned to base. It's pilot, Lt. Cdr. Paul Stone RNR, performed a faultless and truly superb display before landing!

Beautiful shots, very well done. I hope that's another Seahawk frame coming into use?

Thanks for the comments chaps.
The Sea Hawk in the background of the penultimate shot is FGA.4 WV911.
It will never fly again sadly, as some key paperwork has been lost.
