For those of us on the other side of the pond, both the East and West pond, what the hell happened with the congress vote yesterday?
Is the new 'deal' now in or have you forced the FAA to come back and negotiate?

Well, judging from AvWeb's news (http://www.avweb.com/eletter/archives/avflash/653-full.html), the congress vote failed.

It failed under heavy pressure from the White House. The union will next file suit in Federal District Court on several fronts (I believe, I'm not in the know). Meanwhile the FAA will apparently pull all their management people to St. Louis over three weeks in August to brief them on the new deal, then implement the new work rules in September or October.
I'm eligible to retire in December, guess it's time to shoot that CV off to Serco for Abu Dhabi ACC!:)
