Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had some ideas of any music i could put to a photo presentation. I have got a bit of Albatross by Fleetwood Mac but i need some others too. Any ideas?

Cheers

Assuming its a presentation covering the sharp end of flying:

Prokofiev (1891-1953) - Romeo and Juliette: Montagues and Capulets piece.

Spice Girls (1995-present) - Wannabe (just a thought).

Second thoughts, the Spice Girls "2 become 1" is better. (gives an image of Buccaneer and GR1 working together in Gulf 1.)

I always thought "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins worked well on the GW1 videos.

Nothing like a bit of Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries.

"If I say it's safe to surf this beach, Captain, it's safe to surf this beach." and other such, less printable, quotes.

Engima Variations?

Smack my Bitch Up?

Or a mix of any of the above?

"Magic Carpet Ride" - Steppenwolf

If its gentle mood music you want, try some of the soundtrack to "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" - music by Neil Diamond.

If its for Harrier Pilots try anything by BROS.

Yip, if you want them all asleep then Albatross should do the trick!!!
'She sells sanctuary' The Cult, and 'Bohemian Like You', by Dandy Warhols always go down well on flying vids - unless of course your audience are OAPs in which case they would go down about as well as a sh!t sandwich!
So depends entirely on subject and audience!

Check out:

Craig Armstrong (Film Works, As if to Nothing or The Space Between Us albums). His music is often used in parts on the Top Gear BBC1 programme.

Also used on Top Gear is material by Hybrid (Morning Sci-Fi or Wider Angle albums).

Okay so your presentation is about aircraft not cars I suspect.

How about some Hans Zimmer (Journey to the Line etc)?

If you want loud and the presentation is anything to do with current Ops - try 'To them these streets belong', track 6 on the album "Siren song of the counter culture" by Rise against. Preview it here: http://www.riseagainst.com/music/default.aspx/pid/1947

Cor! What's with this board and good music taste all of a sudden? Rise Against are awesome, seen them a couple of times.
I believe they have a new album coming out in July :)

'Spitfire - Prelude and Fugue' by William Walton.

Absolutely perfect for aerial shots.

Also selective pieces from 'Battle of Britain' starring Michael York, et al...

Battle scenes including prelude to battle are accompanied very nicely by Carmina Burana by Orrff used for the Old Spice adverts.

For quite flying shots try Journey to the Sorcerer by the Eagles. It was the music used for Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy

I agree with almost all of the classical stuff, but I would add Pink Floyd. Some of the chaps are by now almost old enough to be counted as classical, but they still amaze and delight.

Forget Albatross - it's been done to death and will forever be associated with carving a M&S chicken.

So how about 'The Birdie Song'? Totally appropriate.

Vegas Two Times, Stereophonics

Slow quiet intro, followed by an explosive entry into the song. great to awaken a slow lecture.

Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive, Johnny Mercer

(Ghost) Riders in the sky, Johnny Cash

Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
Bring Me To Life - Evanesance

The Birdie Song by The Tweets has to be "up there" with the best of them...

The bit where it goes "Twwwit Twwwooo" in the background is epic.:ok:

You could fade-in/out pages from JPA for added impact 'between flying scenes.

Without doubt - Blur, "Song 2".

Failing that, if you fancy a spot of trance - Paul Van Dyke, "For an Angel"...

...or even BBE, "Seven days & one week".

Nice.
