Does that make it irrelevant then?

I must have been living in a cave.......first time I have seen it.

It was in the MCN yesterday that this Alain de Cadenet recently wrote off his Vincent HRD Black Shadow after hitting a pothole in California.

He was pretty gutted at trashing his £35,000 piece Classic exotica.

What really cheered him up was that the paramedics decided to cut off his leather jacket even though he only had a fractured wrist.

The leather jacket had been given to his mother as a present.....by Marlon Brando.

Not a good day.

£35k for a Black Shadow seems a bit on the high side to me. Is he working an insurance fiddle?

How about this for the "how  much" stakes?

Depends if your buying from a good dealer or from Atlantic Motorcycles.
Those thieving gits have taken the mick out of classic bike prices. They even advertised a BSA B31 for £4000. They are rip off merchants that bump up the prices to sell to the states.

I reckon on £18-25k for a Black Shadow depending on cond.

My dad gave away a Series B rapide to a friend of his in 1956, he's been kicking himself ever since.

So many times...........................I imagine many people have this vid on their download stacks but we can use the bandwidth on something else.

However, you will still be able read the thread for sometime yet
