Aer Arann seem to be doing well just now, the ATR is a grand looking aircraft and the pay is good for turbo-prop work.

there are lots of irish pilots in the UK on commercial training courses doing their CPL/IR, and most then stay over here looking for jobs, with many more regional airlines than back home.
if you go down the FI route, there are more jobs here than ireland.
Aer Arann are good for low houred pilots who do the sky blue ATR42/72 course in Exeter, unfortunately with Air Wales pilots looking for jobs this year opportunities have been scarce. :{
Ryanair is looking for pilots (always) and Aer Lingus used to take on cadets and are taking back the guys let go in 2001, so maybe we might see some recruitment in the near future. :ok:

Aer Lingus, Cityjet, Ryanair, and Aer Arran are all doing well at the moment.
Latest estimate for EI is new outside recruitment of 50 direct entry pilots in time for winter 2007 schedule. I guesstimate selection to be started before the end of the year, but privatisation and a few battles to be fought between IALPA and the company first, particulaly over the pension issue. :ouch:
