Hi,i wasn't really sure about which forum this thread belongs to,so i posted it Here,if it isn't its place please move it to the right forum.
couple of months ago i got a ex-military C123k,the problem is that it needs lots of parts,i searched the net and ended up empty Handed.
Any of you guys know where i can get parts for it?

Blimey. You live in the States and have never heard of Amarc. It's where all your old warplanes go to die (or be sold).
There's huge scrapyards all around it, that have huge part stocks.

Looking at the listing there are some 20 C-123s still at AMARC, most if not all ex. Ranchhand aircraft. Whether they will sell you parts from them you will have to find out.
They don't sell fighters to many people, I think you'd have to get approval from Congress or something like that. ALL combat aircraft that leave for scrapping or museums are de-milled by cutting wing spars, etc.

from what i understand if no gov agency claims the airplanes it gets into auctions,most of the bidders are scrapyard and metal recycling places tho.

Are you into picky details, such as this thing having some sort of approval from the FAA to be operated on the civil register? I think it's one of those 'Experimental' or 'Restricted' category only aircraft. You could get lucky, though.
I landed at Bimini early one morning and there was a C-119 sat there on the ramp with a sort of 'freshly-abandoned' air about it. There were still a few stems and seeds down the back where the product must have been hastily unloaded and you could still see the white outlines around the transparencies where that spray-on plastic film had been stripped off not long before. Some original thinker must have come up with a use for the old dinosaur hauling high-value, high-cube cargo on a non-scheduled route there.

i also talked to ARMAC they dont really own the planes,they just look after them,it goes into gov acutions and such..

found ascrapyard in tuacson that has almost all the parts i need,some new,and some in good condition.
