Hi,

I am 6 ft tall and weigh around 82 kg. I dont wear any glasses and i dont have any problem in my my vision as assesed by me.

I was planning to go to Australia to do CPL training. But there is only one Australian certified Opthamologist in india and he is currently unavailable.
Before he returns i have to go to Australia from India.

Can anyone please tell me what are the test done by an opthamologist for Class 1 medical so that i can do them with some other doctor and make myself sure that i will be able to clear it when i reach australia.

Longing for your reply.

Regards

Try looking up the medical requirements in the CASA web site; it is a very thorough eye check. As they put drops in your eyes to fully open the pupils, it is recommended that you get someone to drive you home as the sun is blinding.

As suggested by Nigel already, have a look at CASA website - a simple search would have brought this up:

i renewed my CASA class 1 medical the other day and the Indian doctor gave me the drop which prompted a lot of honks by fellow drivers on the road....:ouch:
