Does anyone know if there is a freeware/shareware piece of software that would allow me to put a ticker style information bar on a website (amateur) so that I can present a sort of dynamic latest news?
Thanks in a advance
ps I hope I'm not contravening any forum rules by asking this, if so then mods please remove.

Do you mean like a constantly scrolling thingy a la BBC News 24?
If so, most design packages have that feature built in. If it's not what you mean, I apologise for making you read this!

It may well be, but I'm using MS Front Page and can't find it. The thing I want is a small unbordered window that shows one or a series of messages continually scrolling along. I would want to be able to change the messages as and when I want and possibly use them as a hyperlink to another page/site.

If your using Frontpage its called a scrolling marquee (spelling?).....
Edit, I don't seem to have FP on this PC, so I googled to check the spelling and found this....

With FP it's something in the 'Insert' or 'Format' menu...
Insert -> Object - > Scroll Marquee
or something similar.
You could try a script from www.dynamicdrive.com and see if they have something which matches your needs?
