Hi,
I think it may be a new scheme, but has anybody had any dealing, positive or negative with PTC Waterford, and their guaranteed FO interviews, as advertised on quite a few PPRUNE pages?
I have contacted PTC and am awaiting further information.

I'm not yet a student of PTC Ireland myself, but plan to do my ME-IR there later on in the year. From the dealings I've had with them so far, they come across as extremely professional though. I also know a few people who trained there and they have all been saying the same thing: well maintained aircraft, excellent instruction, competitive prices, decent weather (despite being in Ireland) and most of them got through in minimum time.

I can't really comment on the career opportunities, but again, I know that if you do your MCC with Parc Aviation and do reasonably well, your name will be put forward to Ryanair for assessment.

The manager Darragh Owens is a regular on this forum and should reply to you promptly.

I hope this helps.

The prices are not competitive!!:yuk:

Yes... excellent maintenance!:)

You mention getting put forward for ryanair interviews just because you went to PTC and onto PARC for the MCC .... take statements/rumours like this with a BIG BIG BIG pinch of salt. Every flight school uses such rumours to get their customer numbers up as is the norm.

I went to PTC and there were guys there, like me, also at the end of their training. They and i know from first hand experience that it is not the case that you are put forward for a job with Ryanair or any other airline just because you attended the school. The very best they can do for you is send your CV with a their cover letter to someone who they THINK, MIGHT have infleunce. Its no different to what you would do yourself!!!!

So many people that i have spoken to (and i speak from my own experience also) got no help from PTC or PARC to help them find a job! Its all promises when they are selling you a course (licence conversion or MCC course) which of course were not fulfilled!

These guys and I worked damn hard to get to our first job with No help from PTC or PARC.

Good luck

Anyone who wants to fork out for a type rating is good enough for FRyanair. You hardly need a recommendation to get a job with them!

Hi there
Well, Darragh Owens sure has a problem answering emails, as I have emailed him directly, and the school itself, at least twice in the last ten days and heard nothing.Musn't like all that new-fangled email technology...
regards

They will not put your name foward for any jobs.
No info regarding the FO interview scheme has been given to any students even when the staff have been asked directly
As maverick777 stated prices are not competitive-far from it-groundschool is 60 euros an hour for ME/IR.
From what I am aware Darragh is not full time at PTC
