I understand there's some sort of Air display event at LCY every year. Does anybody know the exact dates for the next one?
Thanks

It's normally held in July, last years was the 16th July. It's held on a Saturday afternoon once the Airport has closed to commercial traffic.
I believe all display & fly-in aircraft receive invites to attend

A number of which are Single Engined!

I was told that they were not "single engined" - more "multiple engines sharing a common crank" :E
I live opposite LCY and would love to fly in there just once! I saw photos of someone's trip into LCY last year, in a SE, and felt very jealous!

Morgo,
I saw those photos too. I'd love to fly in as well. Is a Katana exotic enough??? ;)
I'm in E13, where are you?
I'm across the water in SE18! Mine wouldn't be much more exotic than a Katana to fly in with... a Robin Regent if my prospective purchase goes through!
OK OK - pics again....! :)

If you live nearby why not just wander over..... It's FREE and FOR the locals.
It is after all NOT AN AIRSHOW - Think of it as Newham Village Fete on the apron (with a few flypasts!!) :)
Any chance of us locals being able to park our aircraft there for the day?! :}
By the way, really rubbing it in with those photos! :{ :ok:

Don't waste your time asking. I tried once but it is a 'closed shop' for the favoured few. :yuk:

But the invalid reasons for denying SE movements outwith this special event is what rankles (sp?)
Using the steep approach validation requirements as a reason to deny access then allowing Druine Turbs in completely destroys their standpoint.
Well done Dick! Massive own goal.

But what a head of hair for somebody a month older than you, Chevvy!
