Well Ozpax1 is on one of his visits to home to Brisbane! The occasion being my Dad's 60th Birthday in early July. who's up for a beer or two in Brisvegas somewhere between 1st and the 13th July? I'm sure the usual suspects can arrange something! :} The last Brishbash I attended is all a bit of a haze after the steaks! :O

OP1 maaaate! Great that you're coming back so soon but, regrettably, at the wrong end of July for me. Hope that you have a great time anyway and that all of our mutual mates will help to blur your memory of this visit too! :D

I haven't seen any of the usual suspects hanging around of late, so suspect that they're all slaves of industry these days. Will see what I can do for you though. As for a venue, the current thinking is that the next Brisbash will be at the Norman Hotel - the Brekky Creak really annoyed us last time.

Yep, that's Brisbane to a "T"! Beautiful one minute, sh*tty the next! :p

Can remember them summer storms vividly....hail, lightning, thunder, wind & rain etc. At least one big one every summer!! :eek: :}

As for location of this Bash, I'll leave that up to our local Prunners as they know which venues will put up with us, and more importantly what we like in a venue i.e. decent beer, good food and the bar is as close to us as possible!

The Pineapple was a venue I heard quite a few people liked at a previous bash.

I finally caught up with GG and DS. There are some complications in their life right now and I doubt that they'll be able to be there. I'm sure that one or other of them will post on here, if their situation improves in time for the bash.

My travel plans have now changed. I will now be in NZ for the weekend I proposed.

I now humbly suggest that the following Sunday (9th July) be the new Minibash date. I'm still open to suggestions as to the venue. ;)

I have to go to Thursday Island in June/July with me to pick the date. A stop over in Brisbane can be arranged so long as I have some notice of the date - come on BrisVagas chaps and chapettes - pick a date!
