Yes I already searched a long time! No I did not find a definite answer! Please do not post anything if you are not sure thank you.

How many B747-400 with PW4056 does Cathay currently have?
I found 3 so far: HKD/E/F formerly operated by Singapore Airlines. Is this correct?
Is Cathay supposed to get 3 more with PW4056s in the future or no?

Thanks guys...

Gathering all that info too!

Here's a website with some reasonable info about a/c breakdown @ CX, but no engine specifics. The majority of planes have pics available so you can have a look at each ones engines if you're keen.....thank those faithful planespotters!! :8

Slight thread hijack question.......... :ok:

Do any CX 747-200F's have Nose Cargo Doors? I believe all 400's have the SCD's?

Also, the CX website says they have 5 x 747-400 freighters, but the above list annotates 2 x 747-400SF's and 6 other 747-400's with Side Cargo Doors. So does that mean CX currently have 8 dedicated 400 freighters?

Is Cathay supposed to get 3 more with PW4056s in the future or no? Certainly getting more not sure on the exact numbers. Also getting some off SAA. (RR powered).
Do any CX 747-200F's have Nose Cargo Doors? Yes, RR powered ones do CF6 powered don't.
I believe all 400's have the SCD's? All 400 freighters have side cargo doors, wouldn't be a freighter without it.

spannersatcx that was great info!

Most people on the wannabes' forum are not current CX line pilots, and most of the info is incomplete or sometimes wrong when it comes to engines and updated fleet info.

Thank You for your time.

Sincerely,

spannersatcx, sorry to p on your fire, but out of the 7 classic freighters, 4 RR and 3 GE, only 3 of the RR have the Nose doors.

Nope Sorry,

HVX/Y/Z are new build 747Fs with the Nose door and RR engines, but yes HVY is ex BA.

HIH is the ex pax (CX/RR) aircraft converted to a freighter and about to become a "Silver Bullet"

HMD/E/F are ex Air Hong Kong (leased from CX) pax converted freighters with GEs.

Air Pacific has 2 ex SQ/Ansett -400's with PW's, DQ-FJL & DQ-FJK, 2 of the first 5 delivered to SQ I believe. Also remember seeing 3 SQ -400's at Victorville, CA early last year, can't remember the tail numbers.
