I was just wondering after looking at a few pictures. What the text says which is next to the door it self : \/

I think it is a message for the French Air Force -

"If you can read this you are flying too close":rolleyes:

Seriously - it says something like 'To open, pull out handle and lift up"

An A340 mate will tell you soon, for sure.

As previously mentioned, it is the instructions for the opening and closing of the cargo door. Most a/c will have it, the 747 even has the instructions how to open the door 'manualy' if the electric power has failed.
