Came across an interesting post to do with Dragonair at the following link http://70.86.224.210/~aqwquuwt/forum/viewtopic.php?p=171#171

The ridiculously poorly trained pilot and non pilot "managers" in DA should be paying more attention to this sort of thing rather than taking petty side swipes at guys who are more proven and distinguished as pilots than they could ever hope to be.

150 applications for CX DEFO positions in Australia from current Dragonair pilots. All were to be offered interviews (ie letters printed) until the 'unofficial' no poaching agreement was mentioned. Should be a Ka renuion at the EK recruitment days in Oz.

Could it also be a good thing for KA? Cathay gets its long awaited wish to go to Shanghai, Dragon is no longer limited to regional work. If Cathay can start doing internal flying, cant it be assumed that KA can start seriously persuing longhaul destinations unhindered?

Dragon is not presently limited to regional but is too timid to venture out of China. Has rights to Sydney now but has decided not to use them.
