I have noticed how there are less 747s at LHR recently, in favour of the 777. This week's observations: JAL uses 777-300/200 on the NRT and only the 744 on the KIX now, Korean air now uses a 777-200 on its daily ICN, Malaysian a 777-200 on one of its KUL and Cathy Pacific and Air China the A340 more and more. Conclusion: the "dated" 747 meltdown at LHR?

2 of the Cathay flights are A340 because there are not enough 400's at the moment! In time I am sure all four of Cathays flights out of London will be 400's

Certainly for the summer CX will still be having a 747-400 twice daily and an
A340 twice daily (300 most of the time, but from the end of March a 600 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday instead of one of the 300's).
Try looking on the cargo side, plenty of 747 Freighters there.

JAL are going to 1 B772 flight & 1 B773 flight for the summer (the 3rd rotation using a B744 is dropped)

KAL should be reverting to B744 for the Summer from the B772

Not sure if EVA are reverting to the B744 (currently using B772/B773?)

AAR maybe using a mix of B772/B744 for the Summer
