Noticed a Globespan machine at LBA just over a week ago. What's all that about then?

Just maintenance.

was it a Jet2 or Channel Express aircraft still in GSM cols ?

Dunno but passengers were boarding at the time, so would seem strange if it was there on maintenance.

It came in from Belfast on a Jet2 schedule, was swapped for another Jet2 737 while it was on maintenance, then vice versa in return. Why a GSM aircraft was doing an LS flight I've no idea, unless it's owned by Jet2.

Apparently Channex lease 2 737s to Globespan. Strange that they can call them back at a minute's notice to cover Jet2 routes though, eh?

It will have been one of the Jet2 B733QCs with Flyglobespan titles, probably G-CELR.

G-CELR went to BFS from EDI to cover the BFS aircraft, TF-ELA came to EDI to cover the cargo schedules at night and the GSM work that G-CELR did.
G-CELR is a Jet2 aircraft in Flyglobespan titles, it's been based at EDI for years primarily for the cargo/mail work at night along with the other B733QCs based at EDI, but Flyglobespan make use of a couple of them during the day when needed.
Quite ironic considering Jet2 and GSM are now in competition at EDI...
