What do the numbers mean after Q1001? Ive seen this a few times now, i presume it is something to do with Rwy 24? Thanks :ok:

24290095 This is the motne code for rwy 24. Motne stands for Meteorogical Operational Telecommunication Network Europe, and is a way of passing the runway state in code so that pilots will know what contamination is on the runway. Used in snow and ice conditions.

will decode it for you.

Numbers are for SNOWTAM. Details are req by pilots in event of contamination by snow/ice/slush etc.

Interestingly though.. using the decode link... this suggests that only 24L was affected in this way. Is this correct? As 24R alone would be 74 and all would 88?
