Channel 9 announced that a fire fighting aircraft crashed near Cootamundra (NSW). The pilot was killed.

A piston engine Dromader that has been converted to turbine. In this case Garrett ex a Jestream. Can't remember the dash number.

I initialy Heard on abc radio that the aircraft colided with a hill ? don't know how true that is.

VH-FVF was based at Cowra and owned by Fred Fahey Aerial Services. The pilot was from Port Macquarie.

Yes the aircraft did collide with a hill.
