Has anyone heard any information of the results of the WSOp job evaluation. Seems like it should have been on the streets by now. Because of the lack of information, some think we may be all getting stitched and put on the lower band.

The way things are going, you may be put in a brass band.

Well ithink we are experiencing another lack of communication exercise from the powers that be. Solution, just put all NCA on the same payband job done and we can all move on and moan about something like getting better equipment or even better than that spares to repair the equipment we do get.:*

Apparently PMA were briefed circa 12 Dec 05 by the Job Evaluation Team. As no news was forthcoming before Christmas, rumour control perceived it to be bad news that was likely to take the edge off the festive season. These rumblings were quickly dampened by my Desk officer in the form of an e-mail that effectively said that the result would be announced in the New Year. Clearly, he didn't specify which part of the New Year that would be; perhaps it will be on a good day to bury bad news.

Perhaps our lords and masters are not happy with the pace that people are leaving at. A good, sharp shafting around the pay band area should sort that out!

I was involved and unofficially i heard that they were pretty impressed with what they have saw and we all will be in the high pay band. However don't shoot the messenger as it was unofficial.

Last I heard the outcome of the job eval was supposed to be included in the AFPRB 06 report, as they couldnt get it done in time for Dec 05 when it should have been anounced.

As there was no mention of it in the AFPRB report I spoke to the desk officer and he said he had expected it to be in there to, but had been told it was all too complicated for the job eval team and it was going to take longer.

Appearently there are so many of us doing different jobs in different ways thats its all a bit too difficult to group together. The desk officer had no update on the new release date that the job eval team were working towards not producing the report by.

Oh well its not as if its important. After all we are only in it for Queen and country and I'm sure our families don't give a hoot that we havent got a clue how much our pay will be or when it will change. You've got to love the way the top brass manage these trivial issues.

You aint seen me right.

Haribo Boy

The boys arn't moaning, they just want to know what's happening to our careers and ultimately, our lifes. Getting new equipment would be excellent as would getting spares to fix what we have got. However, if you pi$$ off the people that use it, then very soon they won't be there any more. Consequently, it won't matter if we have new kit or spares.

I think your comments were a bit strong and not really suited to this thread. If you haven't got anything constructive to say, then don't say anything. You might not be interested in other peoples livelihood, but we most definitely are.

Rant over and now I'm off to the pub:p

Snakepit, very interesting what you say. Maybe if the WSOp is too wide ranging and making it difficult, maybe we could have things called AEOps, ALM, Flt Eng and Air Signallers that would make it easier to evaluate each specialisation easier.

Full circles can be wonderful things.
