A question from a friend in Crete. She was trying to transport two dogs to Germany, and I have copied from the email what happened. Does anyone have any ideas why? Aegean's website say that they operate RJ100s and 737s. I don't know which aeroplane it was, but presume it was the RJ. Both people who were there speak fluent Greek, so it wasn't a case of being lost in translation. Considering she had prebooked and paid for the dogs, it does seem odd just to sell the space to someone else...

She took 2 dogs to the airport y'day (a 3am start for her) but when she went to check in she was told that as 2 other dogs had already been checked in there would not be enough oxygen so her dogs were refused. She was furious, having prebooked and prepaid and the new owners were waiting in Germany. It was an Aegean flight changing in Athens from a smaller aircraft to a larger one.
