I hope this question is posted on the right forum.
I have flown many times form Manchester to Tenerife and the outbound flight always routes over Devon, Brittany , NW Spain, Porto to Tenerife. However the return is always over Madeira and then direct Cork. This is a longer distance.
Are they routings set in stone as they aren't amended for tailwinds/headwinds etc.?
