View Full Version : Our little addictions
I.R.PIRATE 17th Jan 2006, 10:46 What is the one thing that you absolutely cannot live without? The thing that would almost be worth dying for, if you could no longer get your hands on.
For me, it would have to be Music, life without music...no thanks:uhoh:

Whirlygig 17th Jan 2006, 11:36 A computer with Broadband internet connection. That can provide my reading matter (books!) and music; it can provide my means of communication and entertainment.

Books...... and beer.
My favourite quote is from McCarthy´s Bar (god rest his soul). When asked why he read books in the bar he replied that it was because he found it bl**dy hard to get a drink in the library...
johnfairr 17th Jan 2006, 13:03 ORAC, what a great quote!! I wish to be associated with the remarks of the previous speaker . . . .

Kolibear 17th Jan 2006, 14:26 My eyesight.
my eyes are not very good, my glasses are made from the bottoms of old beer bottles, but if I couldn't see, that would be a tragedy. I wouldn't be able to work, (not much call for a blind draughtsman), and I wouldn't be able to indulge my twin passions of birding & flying.
I'd have to turn into a bat.

Capn Notarious 17th Jan 2006, 23:10 I prefer Peace and Quiet in the home. To that extent, P&Q are situations that I cannot do without. This reduction of external "Input" allows for a state of tranquility. Some achieve that with a cigarette, my method is healthier.
