Hi all
I am a currently valid ATCO based in the UK with a JAR/CAA Class 1 medical certificate, and I'm having a bit of a run in with NATS due to my eyesight prescription. I am well within the limits for a renewal of my JAR Class 1 medical, but NATS need me to be able to pass an initial NATS eyesight test before they will process my job application. I have been informed that I don't pass these limits, and that they are more stringent than the JAR/CAA standard. I can find no reference on line to the NATS requirement, and the docs at Heathrow NATS medical division cannot speak to me till next week. Anyone able to tell me the specific requirements?
Thanks!

I applied for ATCO with NATS, got my application booted for vision. Even though I have perfect vision with corrective lenses, that's apparently not good enough.

Let us know what happens ...

As far as I know the limits haven't changed since then.

Cheers.
