Hi!

Could anybody tell me where can I find any example of the GAPF exam which is made to enroll in the 737 Type Rating course?

What are the subjects? Is it very difficult to pass?

Thanks!!

lgt,

Please excuse my confusion, but what do you need the GAPF test for? I didn't know that Lufthansa offer typerating courses to wannabes coming from a school other than their own LFT? Also why do Lufthansa require you to pass the GAPF test? I always thought that applicants are required to pass the DLR test in Hamburg, Germany. No?

As far as I know it's only the Lufthansa sister Intercockpit that require a pass of the GAPF test in their applicants.

Hope I was of any help.

Exactly, I was refring to intercockpit. I have no idea of the content of this test therefore I´m lookink for any example or any piece of information.
Do you know if is it mandatory to passthe test to do the type rating or just something orientative?
Could anybody tell me his experience with intercockpit?

Thanks

lgt,

I have absolutely no idea what they're asking in the GAPF test. Why would you want to go to Intercockpit anyway, if I may ask?

The training they offer is not only way overrated, but - surprise, suprise! - waaay overpriced! The incentives they're so proudly advertising, namely close ties with major German airlines, are just not there anymore ... if they've ever been there! :E Intercockpit is not to be confused with Lufthansa's LFT, as their own school is the only genuine Lufthansa product. Sorry, but this is a bare fact.

If you still need info about IC though try www.pilots.de. Those folks might be able to help you out, of course only if you know German... ;)

All the best.

Thanks for your response. I´m looking for a good 737 CL and NG type rating. I´m also considering Flugschule in Berlin, around 22000 euros (more or les than in intercockpit but less sim. time).
Could you recomend me any other TRTO?
Thanks!

Sorry, can't help you out in this department. Try Pilots.de though. I'm sure they'll be able to answer all your questions, as they relate to aviation in Germany.

How many hours have you already logged? Why do you want to get a T/R? Any job prospects in the bag?

Try http://www.gapf.de/

From the InterCockpit forum : "all but 10 of 220 ICT graduates have been placed in jobs" - sounds as if the partner airline system works........

As far as I know that's only the ICT students who did their complete training (zero to ATPL) with ITC - not the ones only doing a type rating there.
