View Full Version : Video Plus recording and 'Guide program numbers'
My DVD recorder has Videoplus. I have the guide prog numbers set (by trial and error!) for channels 1-4, but cannot find these numbers for the digital channels. They are 'reportedly' given in 'TV listings' but I cannot find them. Anyone know where they lurk?

They're on here Radio Times (http://www.radiotimes.com/) - you need to register and you can then set your favourite channels. Click on a programme title for more info and the videoplus codes. PDC is not transmitted for digital services I believe.

Where exactly on the TV channel info on that site is the guide number? I cannot see a 'guide number' there? EG Channel 5?

Ah, now I am not sure what you're after. Videoplus codes for specific programmes are given but I don't know about codes for individual channels - I didn't realise there were any. HERE (http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsServlet?event=10&channelId=26&programmeId=37591950&jspLocation=/jsp/prog_details.jsp) for instance is the prog info for the film ET, the videoplus code is above the synopsis.

Very interesting! Thanks to all and I'll have a play later. I note that channels 1-4 have GPNs of 1-4.
