Two questions for those who fly 737s without eyebrow windows.

1. Do you miss them?
2. What (if anything) takes their place on the overhead?

Cheers

Do i miss them? No

What replaces them? Basically from inside the cockpit, you just see a grey blank up there. All a bit disappointing really.

:D

Absolutely not!:yuk: They are horrible little buggers and most annoying when sunlight shines directly on them. Also, we no longer get the sextant out at night and do astrological navigation with dual IRS, GPS and radio navs. Don’t know why Boeing didn’t ditch them from the first NG on.

Ask Virgin Blue management how much they like them of late! Delamination anyone?

While where in the area do those vortex generators at the base of #1 & 2 windshields on later model NG's reduce cockpit noise as claimed?

rmm,

They achieve a slight reduction, but nothing to rave about imho. Still damn noisy above 300kts!!

The 737 (light twin) goes faster than 300knots? gee you learn something everyday:E ;)
I suppose at least the NG can get up to FL420 with the rest of the cosmic ray catchers:{
