Since this morning, everytime I try to open Google I get "www.needupdate.com" coming up with an advert for "Spyaxe". Also various "urgent system messages" for viruses. I'm also getting the odd popup for porn/casino etc. I've got and run Mcaffee and it hasn't detected anything. Any clues?

Download ad aware from here

Ad Aware (http://downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/privacy___security/anti_spyware_tools/aawsepersonal.exe)

This is quite good at removing spyware etc. Also have a look at Microsoft Anti spyware (although it is a beta (pre-release test) version at the moment. Defence in depth etc...
