Gone fishin' again on the aircraft ID theme again????

Nice pics JS, pity the RAF today doesn't have as much variation in its fleet as it used to. You must get pretty fed up with the same old Alpha Jets whizzing past.....

PS

I saw an F-4 today where I work, first in a long time, 'twas a QF on a delivery flight. I'm going to Mojave on friday so I'll see lots more then too.

Funny looking Falcon 20 that.

You'll be wanting a Jane's Aircraft Recognition Guide for Chrimbo then?

I'm sure I'll get a pasting for this but.... while I really like the pictures, and think they deserve a place on the Mil forum (they are mil aircraft after all...), do we really need 3 (or more) different threads of them?

Can they not be posted in 1 thread, entitled "Mil Pictures" and made sticky at the top of the forum? Not even sticky necessarily, but why not make it obvious what they are, have them in one place, and then the people who want to moan have no excuse, and can see exactly what threads they dont want to look at?

Oh, and those who DO want to see them only need to look in one place! :}

Methinks your Falcon 20 is a HS125 or whatever the RAF chappies call them.

For future reference. I think a guy who spends a lot of his spare time sitting on a Welsh mountain-side photographing aircraft probably has fairly good aircraft recognition skills.
Check for smilies before falling for such an old trick!

The twinjet in its horrid black and white 'skunk' paintwork is a HS Dominie used by 55(R) Sqn for training the talking TACANs who sit in the back of bombers.

See http://www.raf.mod.uk/squadrons/h55.html

Waaaahhhhhhhhhh, waaaahhhhhhhhh, WAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! :\

Well done again Jumpseater, I think you may have exceeded your European Fishing limit :ok:

Agree that it might be a good idea to keep all the photos on one thread though.

P.S. Do you take a flask with you?

What is this childish 'WAAAH' nonsense which some of you bore the rest of us with?

There is nothing childish and immature about the Whaa game. It is played to keep everyone on their toes and sort the men from the boys. Well done Jumpseater!

I don't think they're real pictures anyway. Look at the fourth one...you can see the strings!

Sorry - it is an utter waste of bandwidth. Perhaps you kids could go and play in the road somewhere busy?

LuckyBreak

Could do, but my mum doesn't let me out to play with other kids. Anyway, with the amount of time you spend posting on pprune Beags, do you remember what a road looks like?

Ok chaps, I'll behave in the future :suspect:

And Taffer, if Janes available, send her round, I can show her my etchings! :E
