As far as I know they dont have a reverse gear - so are'nt the navy guys pushing in the wrong direction to get it going? How fast do you have to get it up to before you drop the clutch?:E

RAN gave their A4's to NZ (well for a peppercorn price) and then turned around and paid NZ to base them at the RAN base (Nowra) to provide fleet support. RAAF found they could'nt keep up their end of the bargain re fleet support (dont you love interservice rivalry/politics). NZ has now rid themselves of all jets (except for a couple of 757's) so if you want an A4...........Think a civilian outfit in the US has obtained some of them for military contract work.

No! really!
I didn't even notice that I got the picture from an American website, the sharks teeth on the nose of the a/c, the nav lights being in the wrong place, nor the subtle differences in the DAS setup!! (I'm sure the AAC wouldn't get away with having their shirts off either!)
Silly me Eh!! ;)
As for the final part of your post, if you phone an air ambulance unit, I'm sure they will be able to tell you how things are, ask for the duty pilot. However I think they are generally happy. I only do that sort of thing when they aren't able to, out of hours, not available, that sort of thing!! ;)
