Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could spare some advice on getting into the flying industry in the NT. Preferably rotary wing. Is there any place that is better than others? Presumably the dry would be better than the wet? Any companies that fly fixed and rotary and would CPLs in both be handy?

Cheers

Would be great to have the money to do both, but it will cost you a better part of a house to do it, unless someone else is paying....

... but if you had both, are there any employers (in NT or anywhere else in Oz) who would see that as an actual advantage ? i.e. you'd be more useful to them so they'd be more likely to offer you a job ?

I think you might find some of the larger pastoral and mustering companies would find that a big advantage, most operate at least one of each type.

:ok:

Although this company isn't in the Northern Territory, Sling Air (in WA) currently fly both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Requirements for both can be found on their website. www.slingair.com.au good luck!
