Qantas ya gotta be jokin!
Me mate, his missus and a cuppla their young sprogs are comin over ere to stay early next year.
Them was the prices 'e pulled orfa the Net.

Now when 'e went back to the Qantas website a cuppla days later, 'e sez the Qantas flights are ONLY Jet Star on the day they wanted ta travel, but because the Jet Star flight leaves at some rediculous early hour (check in is like 4am in the morning), 'e reckons it;s a no brainer that Pacific Blue's got it over the oppersition hands down.

Qantas was outta the runnin right from the start.

The other thing thats got 'is back up is the taxes.
Ticket price (with Virgin Blue) is $556.
Taxes $315.40!
Greedy sob's them government bludgers!

Maybe the punters have voted with their feet and gobbled up all of the cheap Qantas seats! And that they don't like Virgin-whatever-they-are-called-today. Had a look at Virgin's Tasman load factors?

Well mate what would you rather travel on - an aircraft where ya packed in like sardines and lucky if ya can get the time a day off the cabin attenders, or somethin' with a few spare seats here an there?

And by the way, those Qantas were he cheapest ones they had on offer - 'e said there were 3 or 4 diffrent fares, an theirs was the lowest priced.

Now it seems ya can't access Qantas flights on that day - they've been replaced totally by Jet Star.

Big Deal! Every QF anf DJ flight I've looked at recently have the same prices for fares. Since I like kiddies packs, I'm going QF!

I'm a bit curious ta know why this has ended up in the genral aviation and questions sections.

I always thought that Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jet Star were airlines, an as I didnt ask any questions I'm a bit bedazzled.

Capn Bloggs, me mate sez e's got a printout on it if ya don't believe me - I can have it posted here if ya really want ta see it.

Ozocker, it was moved here because a thread about ticket prices hardly constitutes "Airline News". It barely is worthy of starting a thread at all... This is the Professional Pilots Rumour Network, not "Passengers".. :)

That's the reason I moved it here. I was in 2 minds as to deleting it, as it is barely relevant.

D&G Reporting Points is for airline news. This forum is for everything else.

I thought there mighta been some relevants in the fact that Qantas was 50% more expensive than Pacific Blue, and that now Jet Star are gunna be doin' the Qantas flyin' and that the Jet Star tickets are now bout the same as Pacific Blue.
That sorta means Jet Star pilots are takin away Qantas pilots flyin.

Ya can lead a horse ta water......:ugh:
