View Full Version : Pinnacle Studio

Along with my queries a wee while ago about recording videos to DVD on a domesic TV DVD recorder, I have been using Pinnacle Studio on my PC, to record from my camcorder to DVD.

I have struggled, and now have a reasonable understanding of the capturing and editting (although cutting a clip is still hit and miss!). However, my query relates to the final part of the process- burning onto a DVD. THe "rendering" part takes forever, well, about 3 hours for an eventual half hour content.

My computers are reasonably up to date- my desktop is an Athlon 2000, and the laptop is 1.5ghz.

Is this the normal length of time for this part of the process?

Thanks,

Tosh

Tosh, your machines are not obsolete, but they sure as hell ain't fast. If they don't have a lot of RAM and hard drive space either, it will be a slow process. I had an at the time, fairly well specced Athlon 800 and that did the job in similar times to those that you quote, but the PC was well endowed in areas other than the processor.
