On Sunday November 6th 2005 the Hawker Hurricane celebrates
its 70th Birthday.. Its first flight was from the famous Brooklands
race track and Airfield.

Due to "Spitfire snobbery!!" the Hurricane's anniverseries get forgotten but not at Brooklands!..

This coming Sunday 6th Nov The Brooklands Museum is holding a Hurricane celebration more details can be found on

www.brooklandsmuseum.com

Please do come and support this event and meet some of that people that helped win the Battle of Britain..

Look forward to seeing you all there!!!!..

Ooooh! Happy Birthday Hurricane!

Cheers M5dnd, can't be at you celebs, but hope you all have a great day!

When Autokraft's Hurri - dear to Brooklands heart I'm sure - was up for grabs, I prayed for a Lottery win. Ah well...

Treadigraph,

Thanks for that, Yes the Autocraft's Hurricane did us proud in 1995 When we at Brooklands celebrated the 60th. Should have got a taxi from her but due to leak in u/c engine runs only but still very impressive.
We were one of the few (if not the only one?) to cover the Hurricane's 60th but of course in 1996 everyone (bar us!) did the Spitfire !! need I say more !!!..
