I did My MCC there and I was happy with them. I think you gets what you put in on these things. The guys I was with seemed satisfied too.

I did my MCC there and it was excellent.

The staff were professional, the other students were nice and the equipment more than required to do the job and to top it off, it was cheap. Not often the cheap option is better than some more expensive.

What's you evidence? I have just done a search on MCC and with the exception of you, absolutely no one has anything other than complimentary stuff to say about it. Could it be "few friends" were in fact you?

I guess we'll soon find out when "your friends" start posting.

you will have no problems with the Flight Centre. I completed my IR there about 5 years ago when the where just starting out. They helped me out as I had just lost a lot of money at SFT!!!

They were great. Have fun on the MCC!!!!

Thanks for the comments though, it seems my conclusion that this was a good place to go was correct.

Whilst not wishing to get embroiled in Carbonfibre's issue, it is a pretty universally accepted part of commercial piklot training that schools can change pretty quickly. An instructor who was working for a company last week may no longer work there the next week thus altering the entire outlook/ output and perception of that school.

When I did my MCC with Wolverhampton Flight Centre I was more than pleased with the service provided. Moggiee was very good at his job, a pleasure to be around and an all round good guy so any personal critisism of the guy (if that's what it is?) strikes me as very odd indeed!

This is quite surprising to read. I did my MCC along with a friend in January 2004. The instructors were excellent (one had just retired from BA if my mind serves me correctly) friendly, and even took time out to pick us up and drop us off at our accomodation each day.

The simulator was fine, and the course was considerably cheaper than the competition. All in all we were really impressed with the place.

However this was early last year and things could indeed have changed. Good training organisations can go bad, and bad ones go bankrupt.

I totally agree, I am and will always fight for peoples hard earned cash, its expensive enough as it is, I have stated to them by private message that If they think Ive been incorrect they should say so.

I am happy and the statements I have made are of fact.

Moggiee has said no public slanging match but the threats I dont like. If the numbers that walked are incorrect let me know and I will apologise but as far as I am aware im correct.

I have already stated the CPL/FI has good rep but the "1 instructor" did not, If that has changed then It probably all has.

If you read my previous post its complimentry in places regarding the good aspects of the business, but having seen another organisation which by all accounts has never had bad press (so not all get any bad press)on here you can see the difference, especially with there training techniques etc, thats all.

Regarding your edited comment, I think you'll find them to be unsubstaniated libel. At the very least, they go against the the spirit of PPrune in that you have publically castigated another user.

You will really enjoy the MCC. The ex BA Skipper, (Graham) is extremely knowlegable, very helpful and not in your face. The CPL/FI side of the Flight Centre has Chris Caine as the CFI. He is very well respected in the Industry and also a CAA panel examiner. Ask other Flying schools about his reputation and you will see.:ok:

I did my MCC at the Flight Centre back in September and I have to say I was very impressed with it. I even really enjoyed the 4 day theorectical stuff which you often hear people in general talk about as being a bit of a snoozefest (not referring to the Flight Centre !). The simulator and the course in general exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it. I've just been watching a video that was made by RM on our last day in the sim and my wife who is a Human Factors specialist also watched some of it with me and was suitably impressed. It is as well a cost effective ending to a long and expensive journey up to that point !
