Help wanted please.
I have web sense put onto a pc I use, which restricts access. How can I get round this?

IF you have administrator rights, uninstall it or switch it off; if, as I suspect, you do not, your boss probably put it there for a reason. :D

This is true, but surely there is a way round it, I believe it is a 'poxy' something or other.
It's a "proxy" and no you can't get rid of it... sorry

There's an option (configured by whoever has admin rights) to allow a set amount of time each day for "shopping" sites etc. At least there is on the NATS intranet implementation. They added a button that lets us have 60 mins a day of "reasonable use". Still (quite rightly) blocks the dodgy sites though.
Have a word with your IT admin and see if it's possible to have that added.
Otherwise, you're stuffed.:(
