A year or more ago I was talking to an older gentleman and pilot outside the Adelaide International Terminal, he recommended this book was a good read and if I found a copy could I please let him know.

I'm sorry I lost your mobile number and it's taken a while to track the book down but I finally got a copy through David Hartung at Bookfound 132 Collings Ave Edge Hill Qld 4870. I don't know if he can get another but I hope you see this note as you seemed keen to re-read it, I look forward to visiting the history in this copy.

Cheers

Looking at the book on my bookshelf, I noticed it was actually written for Harry Purvis by Joan Priest. It was very well written. I knew Harry Purvis as he was my boss at the Sydney Morning Herald Flying Services at Camden in 1948. A real gentleman.

Outback Aviator a very good read, another good book written by Joan Priest is 'Virtue in the Air' the story of Keith Virtue.

Did Harry have a son who was an engineer at Ansett?
