Does anyone know when the A380 is due in Sydney (or anywhere in Australia for that matter) - is there a schedule out and about yet - with exact times/dates?

Supposedly Mid November - to coincide with QFs 85th.

(Just saw another thread on this - but it too contains no dates or times. Does anyone have the latest info yet? )

Is YSSY wide enough? I guess so if it's already booked in a landing.

Does it need to be 60m?

As well as helping Qantas mark its 85th anniversary, the aircraft will continue its flight test program in Australia and undertake airport compatibility assessments in each port.

The A380's current Australian schedule is:

Do you think that they would allow GA in the area near the A380. Not right next to it but around so that we can watch it from the north and follow it to the airport.

Just wondering

Rumour file:- appears a certain board member will be on board for it's arrival into Aus!
Interesting since it's registered as an experimental aircraft or has that changed? Anything for a publicity stunt! :ok:

Saw it fly at Paris earlier this year. It certainly stands out on the flight line!

It's going to be delayed for three days due to some concerns about the Trent engines

The old rule is never buy the A model of anything...

And furthermore, if it flies, floats or fu*ks...rent it (much less trouble)

I suggest If you want to see the A380 In Sydney the best place to see it will be on North and South heads.

This mornings BN arrival was "Airbus Industrie 102" so I'm guessing BN-SY tomorrow will be Airbus Industrie 103. Pilots sounded like nice blokes this morning on the way in :ok:
