Just saw an episode of the old series of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and remembered that Sandra Dickinson was one of the passions of my younger days and wondered what other PPRuNe'ers lusted after in years gone bye?

Both male and female answers invited from whatever sex posters!

Diana Rigg.

As Emma Peel.

One piece jump suit.

Full length zip.

Big loop on zip shouting out loud "grab and yank, I'm naked underneath."

Or some leather outfit.....droo-o-o-o-o-o-o-l.

Round it all off with that gorgeous face and posh voice and twas a guaranteed stiffie for the entire programme. :E

BTW, the Erin Gray piccie misses out her best ASSet....specially with those mega-tight-shiny material thingies she used to wear.

But, I did work with a girl who had EnZed mum and Italian dad. Gorgeous. But tha dont' count, either.
My ex is a fiery, red-headed Irishwoman, cross between Meg Ryan and Nicole Kidman.
Now there's a thought. Nicole Kidman.

Mary Ure - blonde and lovely
Diana Rigg - yes!
Charlotte Rampling - those eyes

Best of all - Carolyn Jones - what a babe. She played Morticia in the original Addams Family TV series. She moves like no-one else I've ever seen. Gomez was a fool when he rebuffed her 'Speak French to me darling'.

Julie Andrews? Very prim and proper in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music etc, but apparently, on the qt she wanted to be another sort of "film star" ;)

Wouldn't have minded working under her......... :E

Judi Tzuke. Nice lady with a nice outlook on life. She could sing me to sleep any time.

Jane from "Rainbow". I was 44 at the time. :p

If I was a youth today I'd drool after Prof. Kathy Sykes of Bristol University, "Rough Science" and "Mind Games". :=

Again, not ones from my youth, but smart nevertheless (IMHO) - Gloria Hunniford (and her daughter Karen Keating when she was still with us).
I always reckon it's a good idea to look at the mother before settling for the daughter (on the principle that the genes will dictate how the pudding develops . . . )

I was seven at the time so this must count as an early starter in the droll race.

Then fast forwarding a few years, found I need to lie down in a dark room after the shower scene in 'An American Werewolf in London'. David Naughton is one lucky b  d.

From googling: "Jenny Agutter" swimming:

"The film, which had five minutes of Jenny Agutter's frontal nudity cut from its..."

"especially a nude swimming scene featuring a teenage Jenny Agutter"

"Jenny Agutter swimming in a lake totally topless with her breasts and b*sh exposed"

"you can be my teenage jenny agutter, swimming naked in a pond you know i'm always moanin' but you jumpstart my seratonin ..."

Well, frostbite, it seems that you weren't the only one who noticed!

Have long held a theory that all men over -- ahem --- 40ish are essentially Joanna Lumley / Diana Rigg afficionados, or Felicity Kendal fans. i.e They go for husky and sophisticated, with a bit of self-parody, OR wide-eyed cutesy- little -girly. I tend instinctively to find the former camp rather more interesting and worthy of attention.....

Me too. A deep (though not TOO deep) voice sends me crazy.
Mariella Frostrup . . . .

Conversely, high-pitched squeaky voices (especially in men ;-) put me right off.

Funny old world.

Fenella Fielding of course.

I thought Jenny Agutter was a given in such discussions, hence refrained from stating the obvious, but I'll fourth that motion......and her voice does it too.

My brother and I were once semi pro musicians and had the pleasure of playing a fine pub in Bretforton Worcs one summer's evening. We were performing outdoors due to the glorious weather and who should be in the audience but said lady... I had already long lusted after and even written a pathetic song about her (never recorded nor performed). She was with her friend Francesca Annis and we were delighted that they stayed for the duration and apparently enjoyed our performance.
Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed her prescence.
One of my minor claims to fame.

The drool of my youth wasn't famous, she was in our class in junior school, golden hair and brown eyes - a fabulous combination. But we didn't talk to girls at that age. Then she grew into her teens and moved into the next street. It broke the spell - turned out she was the original blonde joke.

Real girls are infinitely preferable to the fantasy version.

The only pub I, and most of the universe, know in Bretforton is (was) the Fleece Can't remember (this was 28 years ago) but it does have a familiar ring. All I remember was that I picked it out of the Good Beer Guide - isn't that how everybody chooses their honeymoon hotel? - and that they served an excellent dinner with an almost endless stream of vegetable dishes arriving to accompany the steak. Oh, and it was a bit olde-worlde and on the main square.

In my defence I have to add that I had First Class ID tickets London-New Orleans, with all the accommodation booked, and a strike at LHR wrecked all my travel plans with about 36 hours' notice.
