The Newcastle University offers a Master of Aviation Management degree on line but when one checks out what the program is all about it shows that it is has nothing to do with aviation management! There are some management courses which have nothing to do with avaiation and they are all electives. There are four compulsory courses which are so-called aviation psychology. They mention CRM but much of ther course content is absolutely useless for the industry and so is much of the other rubbish in the psychology courses. The aviation related stuff is just copied from the CASA syllabus. It seems to be the case that the person responsible for the pychology courses has no background in aviation like operations, crewing, etc. How does that lecturer want to teach CRM? These courses are very expensive and I really think that advertising it as Aviation Management is misleading advertising. What is wrong with our Universities? Are they now that money hungry that they have to resort to misleading advertising and getting people under false pretences?
Nobody having done that degree is of any use in the industry and probably won't get a job as a result.

Not all universities are the same.

Try looking a little further south at approx
33 55 S, 150 59 E.

The postgraduate aviation management courses there are offered by distance.
