Hope this is in the right forum guys...

Was on a flight from Varadero (Cuba) to Manchester yesterday. An 8 hour flight. Approx. After 4 hours 3 of the five toilets failed. Then at 4.10 am (with nearly 3 hours to go) the other two failed. Leaving no toilets.

Is this failure common? Or were the toilets not emptied in Cuba on the outbound flight possibly?

The pilot talked of thinking of landing at Shannon for maintenance but that never happened.

The aircraft has two toilet and waste water tanks.
This is what stopped the toilets working, the full sensors shut the toilets down when they get activated.
The toilets are grouped for the waste tanks, hence they shut down as they did.
It's always been a problem with the 767, normally a pre charge is put into each tank after it is emptied.
On longhaul the pre charge is not carried out, this might have been missed or the tanks not emptied fully.
