Been working on a musical version of my inbound call to various strips to the tune of O come all yee faithful. Still needs a bit of work to get the improv stuff sorted....

All stations ______ mbz;
_ _ _(callsign) is inbound on the (bearing)_ _ _, at _ _ miles;
We're on descent passing, _ _ _ _';
We're estimating the circuit, at _ _;
Tracking to join _____, for (rwy)_ _.

Can anyone think of any other tunes that might work for inbound calls?

Mate you are hard up for entertainment.....

Not related to Sunfish are you?

Don't get too carried away with it, come the end of November you will have to rewrite the lyrics!:E

Cheers

Seeing as you're supposed to say your location twice, a blues song might be appropriate, eg;

All stations _____ MBZ,
All stations _____ MBZ.
Alpha Bravo Charlie, yeah, that's what I said.

Well I'm inbound from the south west,
at 1500, yeah;
Be joining on the deadside
so best you don't be there,

and I got the blues....ahhhh, I got the blues real bad...

etc!!

Musical Radio calls go way back......(Tinkicker is now showing his age).

When completing my Instructor rating at BK (not saying the year but those around will know the vintage) we used to fly C152 VH-UNO.

The downwind radio call in the circuit used to go....

allo..allo..allo
this is U N O (not broadcast phonetically)
we're downwind
for a touch and go.....

First time it got a "say again" from the tower....but once they saw the humor it become the norm.....

LHR Twr" If you can see all obstacles in your way you are cleared to land!"
