yeah, i heard same thing....apparently a 207 (red tailed) suffered an engine failure and put down on a road near wyndham. no injuries that i am aware of.

not sure of full story, but i also heard that it was on the back of a truck this afternoon being transported back to kununurra......i'm surprised it took so long for a post on pprune. i guess they keep things pretty quiet.......until atsb report of course:)

I was told that by somebody in KNX that it was actually a Slingair 210 which performed an emergency landing due to a broken throttle cable.

that's actually totally incorrect. the slingair aircraft that went down was a C207 and that was last friday. the alligator airways c207 went down sunday morning on a road near wyndham - total engine failure as i understand. slingair still had power.

I heard good old IEU snapped a throttle cable at Argyle, I wonder which slug went in for AA. God bless the poor pilots of these C207s, from what I remember they were fun to fly but were like a bus falling from the sky when its was gliding time. Hope everyone and the ol girl (the C207) is ok
