Greetings one and all,

I am working on an assignment for my Master's degree in Aviation Human Factors and need a little help.

Does anyone know where I can obtain and how much the cost is for those little plastic devices where you can dial in your cleared altitude by ATC? The ones I have seen in various aircraft are usually stuck somewhere to the dash and have four little manual wheels that turn the numbers so you can put in 4500 etc.

I am time critical on this, so any help is appreciated.

Regards,

You'll have to arrange the connection to the Altimeter yourself:O

I have seen them in pilot supply shops. What you're after is called an "assigned altitude indicator". If you are in Cairns, maybe you could call Avial, and ask them.

All the best with the Masters...
