Just booked some tickets to fly Sydney to Hong Kong return with Virgin Atlantic. Has anyone already travelled as a pax on this sector with Virgin atlantic. If so how did you find the flight, service, food etc.
Any info appreciated.

I have just returned from the UK - although I didn't fly the Hong Kong Sydney sector, I picked up the Hong Kong to LHR one (flew Air NZ CHC-AKL- Hong Kong return) as Virgin Atlantic flies the same aircraft from Sydney to Hong Kong then to London.

I found the service great, really friendly - meals were OK, not fantastic. Leg room was lacking. I am 6'2" and most airlines I normally have issues with leg room anyway - except Air NZ, seem to have more leg room than the rest. TVs in each seat was awesome, plenty of good viewing, and the flight map was excellent. It would've been nicer if they had the map and flight information available for the Take Off and Landing phase, instead of turning it on once you got to cruising height, and turning it at Top of Descent.

Over all I would recommend Virgin Atlantic to anyone.
