Any suggestions about where to do the FI course. I'm looking for a good course at a good price. The cheaper the better but i don't want to sacrafice quality of training for cost.
Thanx

On Track Aviation - they specialise in FI courses (rather than most schools who specialise in PPL courses but do FIC on the side). Run by a group of very professional part-timers who try to fit in around your schedule - their full time jobs vary from CPL/IR instruction to airline flying, and most of them are ex-RAF pilots. No connection except as a very satisfied customer.

You could try Triple A Flying at Humberside. A buddy of mine went there and came away happy.

I would without doubt recommend Old Sarum Flying Club, with CFI David Scouller. Utterly professional, can be completed on one of the nicest C152 Tailwheels i've ever flown, and the price is fantastic and includes extras which others don't. Roughly 5k.

And the Flight Centre have Chris Caine as their CFI. He is a CPL/FI panel examiner, an excellent classroom teacher and Flying Instructor.:ok:

Time of year made little difference to me, we flew most days in various types of weather; i started in October and finished exactly one month later. A good school can squeeze every inch out of the good old British weather!
