Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can give me a rough estimate as to how much i would have to pay for a type rating on a PAC 750xl (single engined turbine). The reason i ask is that i have recently emailed a parachute dropping club. Although i have no idea how much a rating would cost on one of these machines?

Thanks in advance

Is anyone that operate that ugly (but reliable) bird in UK? And what about CRIs and CREs? maybe it would be easier to have it signed in USA on FAA PPL...Get a PC6, for the same money but for much more opportunities!

good luck

It should cost you nothing. Do NOT be suckered into paying for this rating - there are only two places in the UK which operate the PAC and the terms and conditions for jump pilots aren't great. With the airline job market as it is, parachute clubs are desparate for decent pilots!

It is not JAA certified yet, so you have to get your PAC rating in either New Zealand or USA.

That's why my advice was either for FAA ticket or PC6...

PC6 might be partially SSRating because more pilots available.:ok:
