G'day can anyone tell me what a L188 is? CX operated them from 1959 to 1966.

Also keen to know what power plant is on the new 744 pax and power plants on the freighter fleet?

Cheers;)

Magnificent aeroplane.
Have heard it described as "the first aircraft to have the wings entirely embedded in the engines".

The new B744 pax (B-HKD,HKE) formerly flew with SQ, so they are powered by PW 4056.

The B747 Classic freighters have RB211-524C2 (51,500 lbs)/ RB211-524D4 (53,110 lbs)

:) All the best!

no C2's on the 200's - hasn't been for many years.
