Hmmm, listening to Tones speech from 10 Downing steet re the new anti terrorism laws at the mo, at last some good stuff, trouble is they should have been on the books twenty years ago.
We might not have had terrorist organisations with head offices and operating from London and getting grants from the GLC to do same.
Bet a few beards have worried frowns above em this morning.

No need to lay it on you. Your post is evidence enough by itself. You pop in here....post a link to an article that says little....call Rumsfeld all sorts of names that sound like ******************* and also an call him an idiot.
What's there to take you to task for.....there is nothing in your post that requires responding to.
If you were responding to Rumsfeld after he posted something here personally then there would be an issue....but not under the current circumstances.
If you disagree with the article....explain why you think it is wrong....all the ******************** and calling the man an idiot does not move us any closer to an understanding of the issues surrounding discussion.
I don't usually get involved in debates about politics, as I don't follow any of it as closely as maybe I should, but the following quote from the CNN article has me puzzled.
"The United States and its allies did not provoke the terrorists; the terrorists attacked America," he said. "There was no war in Iraq or Afghanistan when America was attacked on September 11th
Has there been any definitive proof that either the Iraqi government, or the Iraqi people were directly involved in the Sept 11th incidents?
I'm not talking about rumours or maybe's, but as Donald Rumsfeld is directly linking Sept 11th, with the war in Iraq, he must have proof of the connection.

Oh but SAS… How does my post differ from this one (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=184215)

He isn't linking them. He is simply pointing out that September 11th attacks cannot be explained by the links suggested by some people between the war in Iraq and terrorism, weakening the argument considerably.

One wonders that whilst we (the west) were out on Kosovo making albeit fairly crappy attempts to help muslims, the same were bombing embassies in Africa & potting holes at warships, ingrates.:hmm:

Different tribes of Muslims it appears....and are those that attack us "Muslims" or simply "Zealots" who happen to claim the Muslim faith as their cause and in fact are not legitmate in doing so?
UA...a lot of name calling for a start.

Any chance of that Shami Chakrabrti woman from Liberty (The National Society for the Protection of Terrorists, Illegals and the like) being top of the list for deportation under the new measures that TB announced today?
And is she related to Rita, of the same surname, a reporter for BBC News?

One can see the entire staff of the Baghdad Broadcating Company getting their collars felt, not Jeremy Paxman of course.
They can say what they like about our Tone but he is bloody good on his feet off the top of his head at a press conference. best talker since Wilson, can't see that dour scowling scotsman being much cop at a press conference.
Osama bin Ladel and his henchmen will use anything they can to excuse their need to kill infidels. Just another propoganda video from the towelled ones. At least they don't film themselves sawing some poor sod's head off like one of their brethren known as Zarquawi:rolleyes:
