P-47 Thunderbolt, seeing its pilot putting something of that size through its paces was simply breath-taking.

Some good shots in there and Lo! Moving props with no camera shake. Well done!

Found a toy that I have yet to try out, but Maplins are offering a "Camcorder support" on special offer. Imagine a short monopod with a strap at the top and a rounded base to fit well against a possibly well fed stomach. The strap goes around the neck and voila! you have a very much steadier and slower mount for your camera. Should work a treat with props and my God! Even choppers.

Who knows? I take a 1GB cards worth and end up with 186 shots of my eyeball...

Super photos, FRADU, what camera/lens?

Bet the seafronts from L'hampton to Beachy Head got properly warmed up afterwards. What sights! (but then, I live in sad old Germany....ho hum)

Great venue for an airshow too, friendly airfield, lovely island.

Remember staying with a friend in Chobham once, who had run out of milk one Sunday morn. He suggested we pop down to Sandown for a piece o cake and cuppa. Gorgeous!

About the affiliation to the county just north...a housekeeper when asked where she came from, once retorted. 'Be oi 'ampsheer, be oi buggery, oi be izzly widget!'

Thanks for the comments guys.
All the photographs shown in this thread were taken with a Canon D30 using a Canon EF 75-300mm lens.
The airfield has such a beautiful backdrop as well, and I think all the display pilots love it :)

It was my best airshow in 2004, and this one was even better!
