Last year I said Sandown was superb and the best show of 2004. This one was even better.
Awesome displays were put on by every single pilot at the show on Sunday.
For the first time in a few years I went to a show completely in the dark about what was going to display, and I wasn't disappointed.
The show attracted a vast selection of WWII-era aircraft, and thankfully it didn't get affected by the weather.

Onto the pix...
The Aircraft Restoration Company/Historic Flying brought along these two beauties...

Dick Steele, the owner of Sandown Airfield and organiser of the show's lovely N3N trainer, the only example flying outside of the USA.

Another rasper was the Beaver from the Army Historic Flight...

There were a few Chippies in attendance, this one belongs to the Army Historic Flight.
When I first saw the Chippies on arrival I immediately thought of Steve Young aka \'beauman\'.
I never met him, but as indicated on this board, and on the Key Flypast forum, the aviation community is certainly the poorer with his passing.

Hope the pix are OK, more can be seen here (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=184308).

Unfortunately not all of the aircraft were able to drown the constant babble of rubbish coming from the commentator. Even the pilots were heckling.

Just noticed a speeling nistake in my original post - Maurice Harvard should read Maurice Hammond

Who was the commentator?

By the way FBS, the Cloudster looks great :)
